Brixton Mosque’s Kids programme offers a safe, fun and enjoyable learning environment for 7-13 year olds. As the Mosque recognises that the kids are its future, it is imperative to provide an educationally rich environment for active learning and participation. In this respect the Mosque offers daily Quranic and Islamic schooling.In order not to forget about the younger community members, Kids strand includes those aged between 6 and 13 years.
The Youth have already conquered their fear of heights on the adrenalin filled "Aerial Extreme" rope assault course, have twice worked together in teams to overcome challenges and obstacles at "Delta Force Paintballing" and showed off their fancy footwork and dribbling skills in our football and basketball competitions. The Youth strand is dedicated towards bettering those aged between 14-21 years. It has successfully engaged with many of the youth and hopes to continue with this effort Inshaa Allaah.
Brixton Mosque remains a source of support for the Muslim community at large as well as attempting to cater for the ever growing needs of the local Muslims within the area.As the Masjid develops further, it is hoped that it will be able to provide more services including help with housing matters, educational as well employment and training support.The MIT Social strand offers a vast array of social services ranging from individual or family orientated counselling and advice, various health related awareness days as well as guidance and support with local community partner services.
Brixton Mosque always endeavors to place a great sense of value for the sisters of the community. As such, various projects are regularly organised such as family fun and activity days, charity and community dinners, community forums and workshops.As part of the continual drive to involve sisters in the daily life of the Mosque, the sisters department and initiatives are led by sisters in order to help the women within the community in self-development and progress in all aspect of life be they social or personal.
The Dawah (Islamic call) at Brixton Mosque is focussed and committed towards cultivating and educating the Muslims as well as non Muslims about the essential tenets of Islam. To this respect, there are regular classes for all focussed in areas of Aqeedah and Manhaj (creed and methodology), Fiqh (jurisprudence), Arabic language and Quran as well as specific classes for women.

Brixton mosque has a significant and pertinent role within the Brixton area as it is the main source of advice and support for many Muslims including the youth. As such, the Mosque offers a vast array of services ranging from family counselling, youth mentoring, housing, and marriage services. As the Mosque develops further, it hopes to incorporate programmes aimed towards helping Muslims back into employment, training and education.
