Extension Project 2010 The extension project: It’s back…. It’s bigger, better and more brilliant than ever before! The Mosque has now entered into the last phase of its extension project. It is hoped that the new building will be completed by the end of 2010 Inshaa Allaah. However, this will not be possible until a final £200,000 is raised to complete the project.
MIT Community Brixton mosque has a significant and pertinent role within the Brixton area as it is the main source of advice and support for many Muslims including the youth. As such, the Mosque offers a vast array of services ranging from family counselling, youth mentoring, housing, and marriage services. As the Mosque develops further, it hopes to incorporate programmes aimed towards helping Muslims back into employment, training and education.
MIT Dawah The Dawah (Islamic call) at Brixton Mosque is focussed and committed towards cultivating and educating the Muslims as well as non Muslims about the essential tenets of Islam. To this respect, there are regular classes for all focussed in areas of Aqeedah and Manhaj (creed and methodology), Fiqh (jurisprudence), Arabic language and Quran as well as specific classes for women.
MIT Sisters Brixton Mosque always endeavours to place a great sense of value for the sisters of the community. As such, various projects are regularly organised such as family fun and activity days, charity and community dinners, community forums and workshops.
MIT Social Brixton Mosque remains a source of support for the Muslim community at large as well as attempting to cater for the ever growing needs of the local Muslims within the area.  As the Masjid develops further, it is hoped that it will be able to provide more services including help with housing matters, educational as well employment and training support.
MIT Youth The MIT Youth have already conquered their fear of heights on the adrenalin filled "Aerial Extreme" rope assault course, have twice worked together in teams to overcome challenges and obstacles at "Delta Force Paintballing" and showed off their fancy footwork and dribbling skills in our football and basketball competitions.
MIT Kids Brixton Mosque’s Kids programme offers a safe, fun and enjoyable learning environment for 7-13 year olds. As the Mosque recognises that the kids are its future, it is imperative to provide an educationally rich environment for active learning and participation. In this respect the Mosque offers daily Quranic and Islamic schooling.

Quran & Hadith

Allah, the Exalted, says:

"And they were commanded not, but that they should worship Allah, and worship none but Him Alone (abstaining from ascribing partners to Him), and perform As-Salat (Iqamat-as-Salat) and give Zakat, and that is the right religion.'' (98:5)

Narrated 'Umar bin Al-Khattab (May Allah be pleased with him), reported: Messenger of Allah (sallalahu al'ah wasalam) said, "The deeds are considered by the intentions, and a person will get the reward according to his intention. So whoever emigrated for Allah and His Messenger, his emigration will be for Allah and His Messenger; and whoever emigrated for worldly benefits or for a woman to marry, his emigration would be for what he emigrated for".
